Jonah co-founded Oakbank Capital Group in 2022 and is responsible for overseeing debt origination activities, advising clients, raising capital, and the strategic growth of the company and its subsidiaries. Prior to Oakbank, Jonah was a Senior Director at Canada ICI Capital where he advised some of Canada’s top real estate developers and investors on land, construction, term, and development financing. Mr. Brown has arranged over $5 Billion of real estate capital in his career. Jonah attended the Ivey Business School graduating with Distinction and additionally studied finance at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also the Vice-Chair of TREL (Toronto Real Estate Leaders) and a Board Member of the UJA – Young Real Estate Board.

David co-founded Oakbank Capital Group in 2022 and is responsible for overseeing debt origination activities, advising clients, raising capital, and the strategic growth of the company and its subsidiaries. Prior to Oakbank, David was a Senior Director at Canada ICI Capital where he advised developers, REITs, institutional groups, and private family offices on multi-family and industrial financing. Mr. Bell has arranged over $5 Billion of real estate capital in his career.

Aaron Sun is a Partner at Oakbank Capital Group. He is responsible for underwriting and structuring transactions, credit and risk management, and compliance. Prior to Oakbank, Aaron was a Director at Canada ICI Capital where he advised some of Canada’s top real estate developers on land, construction, and development financing. Mr. Sun has arranged over $5B of real estate capital in his career. Aaron attended the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business.

Bryce joined Oakbank Capital Group in 2025 as a Director and is responsible for originating and structuring commercial mortgage financing across all asset classes in Canada. Prior to Oakbank, Bryce was a Director of Mortgage Investments at KingSett Capital, where he originated senior mortgage and high-yield loans across all asset types in every major Canadian market. He also served as Vice President of Originations at MarshallZehr Group, leading financing for land development and construction projects. Over his career, Bryce has participated in more than $1.3 billion of commercial real estate transactions. He attended the University of Western Ontario and is a CFA Charterholder.

Victor is responsible for overseeing underwriting activities structuring debt and equity for all commercial real estate asset types. Prior to Oakbank, Victor was a Senior Analyst at Canada ICI Capital where he underwrote in excess of 250 commercial real estate deals for institutional groups, developers and REITs. Throughout his career, he participated in structuring and funding over $2B of real estate capital. Victor attended Ryerson University graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management Science.

Adam is an Vice President at Oakbank Capital Group and is responsible for originating debt on all types of commercial real estate assets. He adds value by structuring customized financing solutions tailored to the specific needs of his clients. Prior to Oakbank, Adam was a Senior Mortgage Underwriter at Canada ICI Capital where he assisted the origination team by conducting financial analysis and due diligence on several properties ranging from small apartment buildings to large construction projects. Adam attended the University of Guelph’s Lang School of Business and Economics and Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

Luca joined Oakbank in 2023 and is responsible for underwriting and originating commercial mortgages and debt opportunities. Prior to Oakbank, Luca was an Associate on the Private Capital Investment Team at Colliers where he advised clients on the disposition and acquisition of investment properties and development sites. Throughout his tenure, he participated in the execution of $800 million in investment sales transactions. Luca attended the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Matthew is an Associate at at Oakbank and is responsible for loan structuring and execution. His main roles include underwriting term, construction, and bridge loans for residential, commercial, industrial and land assets as well as conducting due diligence and assisting in the funding process. Prior to Oakbank, Matthew was an Analyst at Canada ICI Capital. He has underwritten and facilitated $1.5B in loans over his career. Matthew attended McGill University graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance.

Mark (Shmaya) Gross is an Associate at Oakbank Capital Group and is responsible for the origination and placement of loans across a broad array of property types, including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and senior living facilities across Canada. Mr. Gross’s experience includes acquisition, construction, bridge, conventional term, and CMHC insured financing.

Meghan Charpentier is an Analyst at Oakbank Capital Group and is responsible for loan funding, underwriting, and execution. Meghan has funded over 150 commercial mortgages totaling over $3B in her career.
